Nappy Nightmare!
If you thought that there couldn't be that much involved in choosing nappies......you would be wrong!
I initially thought that once we had made the decision to go for washables instead of disposables that it would be fairly straightforward. Wrong again.
It seems things have moved on since the plain old terry nappy. There are choices to be made and jargon to be deciphered.
Do we want one size, sized, flat, pre-fold, shaped or all-in-one? What material to choose? Cotton, Organic cotton, polyester, bamboo, hemp? What fastenings - Aplix, Nappy Nippa or poppers?
And as for the old plastic pants, forget those! We now have 'wraps'. These can be wool, fleece or PUL and come in a variety of prints, colours, shapes and sizes with same array of fastenings and fits........with pockets, with fleece liners, with gussets, puff ball fit or neat!
Then there are the various makes. Some of the names are great - cuddlebums, fuzzybuns, tots bots, imse vimse, minkys, bumbles, bimbles and bamboozles!
Anyone there or have you slumped off into a coma......see I told you it was a nightmare :-)
