Family Fun
So my Mum has become a Gran and Pooh has become a Great-Grandma. It seems with the addition of wee Josh we all shuffle roles slightly. The most bizarre of all is that I'm now a Mum myself - Wow! Scary stuff!
I think with a new addition it must be natural to start thinking about your own relationship with your Mum and ponder the whole new dynamic that a child brings.
My Mum has been looking back at her old journal that she wrote when I was a baby and finding similarities with how Josh is progressing with feeding, sleeping etc. It must be strange for her to see all this being repeated but this time I'm the Mum.
Becoming a parent is so much more exhausting, all encompassing and challenging than I would have imagined - and it goes without saying rewarding - little Josh is well worth all the effort :-)
So for Mum and Pooh who managed to raise me without going stark raving bonkers - me who didn't sleep for two whole years - RESPECT is due!!!
